2022 Buick Enclave Preview Update News Specs
2022 Buick Enclave. The larger and smaller 2022 Buick Enclaves should retain their present design. As you may be aware, the company just introduced the most recent edition of this one-of-a-kind crossover. However, this was no average makeover. The new model contains numerous fundamental changes to the design characteristics of the original model. The first generation, which was produced from 2007 and 2017, was a full-body crossover, but the second generation is a smaller crossover.
It is currently a mid-size crossover, but it has many developments. The new version is more luxurious than before. With its unique design, it would undoubtedly be a great competitor in the surplus department of high-end mid-size crossovers. In addition, it includes a completely new style. It’s adapted to the latest and most up-to-date design language, including sharper fonts and tons of new information. In the end, you’ll find better engines, that use more power and better economy.
2022 Buick Enclave Powertrain Options
The 2022 Buick Enclave will continue with the exact same V6 unit. This engine is the only drivetrain option at the moment, but we wouldn’t rule out the possibility to see something extra, perhaps a four-line turbo search engine on offer. The current engine capacity is 3.6 liters. It is rated at 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque and comes packaged with a new 9-speed automatic transmission. The new crossover packs excellent accelerations, but the engine runs quite civilly and provides a fairly smooth and pleasant ride, despite its enormous power. When it comes to the fuel market, the new version is excellent at around 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
2022 Buick Enclave Concept
As mentioned, the 2022 Buick Enclave will likely come without major changes. The next generation needed its premiere last year and has not yet reached the market. Therefore, it is clear that the exact new model will continue without significant changes over the next two decades. The new version gets a new stage. It is exactly the identical C1XX chassis that is used for many different crossovers at General Motors, for example, the GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Traverse, Cadillac XT5, etc.
This stage brings many advantages. The combination of lightweight materials and efficient motors provides excellent performance results. The new version is just as fast and inexpensive. It is also quite spacious. There is plenty of room for passengers in the next row of chairs. Ultimately, this design brings a better driving experience, which makes the new version more powerful in the market.
2022 Buick Enclave Inside Design
The most important thing in the new generation of the crossover is a good amount of equipment. The 2022 Buick Enclave will continue in exactly the same way. While the basic version will have fabric upholstery, the mid-range models will actually have leather seats as standard, as well as heated and heated these seats. The base version will include three-zone automatic climate control, a six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment software, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, Bluetooth, and an OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot Remote start, rear view camera and rear parking sensors.
In the larger versions, you can even expect things like a dual sunroof, navigation, wireless smartphone charging, a Bose 10-speaker audio system, HD radio, adaptive cruise control, and many other things, including a host of advanced security systems.
2022 Buick Enclave Release Date And Cost
The 2022 Buick Enclave will arrive in normal time, i.e. somewhere in 2023. If it comes to price, the base versions will cost about $40 thousand, while better-equipped models can cost around $55 thousand. If it comes to potential competitors, this version falls somewhere between premiums and traditional crossovers. Therefore, it will almost certainly compete with the more traditionally equipped versions. These are models such as Toyota Highlander, VW Atlas, Jeep Grand Cherokee, etc.

2022 Buick Enclave Update
Earlier this month, GM reported that the 2022 Buick Enclave would not be launched with wireless charging (RPO code K4C) as a response to the current shortage of microchips. However, GMA has now learned that General Motors has reversed that decision and will release the 2022 Enclave with standard wireless charging on all models, including the Essence, Premium and Avenir levels.
Many automakers have had to reduce the characteristics of the vehicle to deal with the global shortage of semiconductors. GM has proactively sought contracts with microchip suppliers to mitigate the impact of future shortages on production. “Whether we’re working with foundries to make long-term commitments or looking to partner with people, we’re looking at all aspects of the supply chain to make sure nothing of that magnitude comes back when it comes to chips,” GM CFO Paul Jacobson told Reuters recently.
Standard wireless charging isn’t the only change in the updated 2022 Buick Enclave. The three-row crossover will lose the Premier trim level previously used as base equipment, making the Essence the new base with a starting price of $42,800. Exterior updates include redesigned front and rear fascias, a larger grille, new taillights, and slim LED headlights. The model will also lose out on three previously offered exterior colors, including Satin Steel Metallic, Dark Slate Metallic and Red Quartz Tintcoat. Three new paint colors, Sage Metallic, Emperor Blue Metallic, and Cherry Red Tintcoat will replace the discontinued shades.
Inside the revamped 2022 Buick Enclave is a new center console for shifting buttons, known officially inside GM as Electronic Transmission Range Select, or ETRS, along with several new materials.
Production of the Enclave 2022, which continues to travel on the extended version of the GM C1 platform, will begin at the GM Delta Lansing Township plant on August 7, 2021 and begin arriving at dealerships shortly thereafter. 2022 Buick Enclave News
Buick’s Enclave is by far the brand’s quiet achiever, with annual sales averaging nearly 50,000 in the US alone. An updated Enclave arrives for the 2022 model year to maintain that momentum and bring with it more of what Enclave buyers want, according to Buick. This means a more advanced design, more connectivity and driver assistance features, and more payload versatility.
Buick modified the front and rear ends with new lighting, updated the wheel design, and made other minor tweaks to create a more unique look. The LED daytime running lights look like brighter twins than before. So far, Buick has only shown the high-end Avenir grade. Other grades will likely have a slightly different mesh insert.
Inside, there is a modified center console with a push-button toggle switch that replaces the existing lever. The quality of some surface materials has been improved, and buyers can add ventilated, massaging front seats. Other noteworthy features available include a front color display and a digital rear view mirror.
Safety features include standard automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic, lane departure warning and blind spot warning, and automatic high beams. Current crash test scores are mixed with an overall five-star rating from NHTSA and most “good” results from IIHS, but the Enclave hasn’t been subjected to the tough little interference test.
Each Enclave is powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that makes 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of touch that is sent to the front or all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 2021 EPA’s fuel economy ratings are in line with the rest of the segment with 18 mpg in the city and 26 on the highway. Reduce 1 mpg if you choose 4WD.
Enclave 2021 starts at about $41,195, including destination. Expect a slight increase for the 2022 model to reflect the improved technology when it goes on sale later in 2021.
