The last two years in which Triumph motorcycles won the prestigious Motocross World Championship with its super bike, the Triumph Tiger, left a huge impact on the company. A second victory followed and now Triumph is set to win the World Superbike title for a second consecutive year.
“We are thrilled with the continued support from Triumph Motorcycles as our partner in producing the Triumph Tiger,” says Marcin Biro, general manager of the championship series. “It has been a great deal of hard work and development for the team and it's great that they have remained committed and focused on the new bike to be launched for the season in Australia later this year. Two years after their ”MotoGP‼ moment at the Qatar Motorcycle Grand Prix, we know that Triumph Motorcycles will be a solid partner for Dorna, as our commercial rights holder, for the foreseeable future. They understand the importance of having a successful racing programme and are continuing to work hard on new developments that will help take the championship to new levels next year.”
The new Triumph MotoGP bike has taken shape over recent months and has gained considerable speed over the last couple of races and it is set to become a dominant force in the championship next year. The Tiger is a highly technical bike and has been developed under the watchful eye of Yamaha engineers and riders and they are well aware of the challenges facing them and the improvements needed to produce the ultimate motorbike. This is why Triumph Motorcycles has maintained its commitment to producing a bike that will challenge the world's most respected racing circuit and give fans the ultimate experience in motorbikes.
Triumph Motorcycles has worked closely with Dorna throughout the development process of the new Triumph MotoGP bike and has implemented the new system with great care. There is much work still to do before the bike can be ready for its first race but with an improved package it is likely to be more competitive and be able to out perform rivals such as the Kawasaki and Honda.
The new Triumph MotoGP bike will be much lighter than the current model and also has more power and will have a lower centre of gravity compared to the current bikes. The production of the bike has been made easier with new manufacturing technology and engineers working round the clock to ensure that the bike is as fast as possible. In addition to that the bike also has a new braking system which helps to reduce the weight without the use of additional airbags and the new bodywork looks amazing. The new Triumph Tiger will feature a much shorter chassis and front section with new bodywork and a revised tail section for the rear section to make it even more aerodynamic.
Marcin Biro is confident that the new Triumph MotoGP bike will provide the ultimate experience for fans as it is expected to be one of the fastest and most powerful bikes in its class next year. With the added speed and power from a more powerful motorbike engine and better braking system combined with updated bodywork and new bodywork and suspension, the Tiger is likely to be the fastest bike in the series.
