Do you have plans to visit a remote park one day? If you do then you should consider staying in a motel in a small town away from the main city. When you stay at a motel in a remote town like Jasper, you will be able to have all the comforts of home that you would usually have at home. The beauty of staying in a motel in these small towns is that you will not run into the same types of people that you normally would in larger cities. This will help make your vacation experience more enjoyable.
You will first need to determine what kind of accommodation you would like. The type of motel that you would choose depends on the type of vacation that you would like to have. If you plan to visit a ghost town, then you will most likely stay open for a night and then sleep the following morning. If you are visiting a park that is not open to visitors during the day, then you may only want to stay open for a couple of nights and then go back to sleep. There are basically as many choices as there are people that plan on visiting the park.
There are many attractions located in Jasper that will draw you in. One of these is the Spirit Mountain Trail, which can be accessed by hiking the entire length of the trail. Along the way you will encounter many beautiful scenes of nature and spectacular views. It starts out in the parking lot of the park and goes all the way to the top of Spirit Mountain. Once you reach the top of the mountain you can view the town of Jasper and the Grand Canyon all within a few hundred feet of where you started the trail.
Another attraction in Jasper is the Off Road Park, which is open to visitors twenty-four hours a day. There are trails for biking, hiking, picnicking, and even fishing. These trails are not always easy to handle so it is recommended that you bring your ATV or go in with a driver. Another beautiful attraction of the park is the Lowrange2 Ranch, which is on the property. The ranch was originally posted for sale by a local rancher that sold it to the park staff in the hopes that they would construct a trail for hikers to take.
For a great hike, the South Fork of the Poudre River Trail makes for a great choice. This trail will get you down into the valley where you'll find spectacular views of the river, including the Continental Divide. As you move further, you'll encounter historic Poudre Canyon with creeks flowing down the river as well as the historic Copper Mine. After taking in some of the best views in the park, you'll find an easy trail leading you back to your car from the trail.
Because this park is located in a national forest, it is able to maintain all kinds of wildlife species such as deer, elk, coyote, and numerous birds and mammals. You'll be amazed to find the number of different animals, you will run into while out hiking on the South Fork of the Poudre River Trail. For people who enjoy the cooler mornings, the Blue Ridge Parkway Path and the Greenbriar Trail offer nice hiking options.
