Ken Block is one of the biggest names in rallycross. He is known for his aggressive style of racing and is known for challenging the best of the best when they go out to do it. He has won several races and he has been very successful at it, so I thought it was about time I learned some Ken Block rallycross tricks that I could use to beat him and win the next big race.
The first of the Ken Block rallycross tricks that I am going to share with you is called the “Stompbox”. I would recommend that you do not try to learn this trick from the Internet because there is a ton of information out there that you could be getting wrong and it will only make your driving even worse.
The Ken Block rallycross trick that I am going to talk about is a bit easier to learn than this one. You can either learn this one by yourself or watch someone else do it. The technique that you use will depend on how confident you are in your own ability and how good you have been driving. If you don't know how to do a jump, you should look up some jump videos to watch, but otherwise I suggest you just follow along and I promise that once you start doing this trick on the track it will all be worth it.
The technique involves taking your hand off the wheel and putting your foot back on the ground while standing up. This way when you get to the jump on your legs will be underneath you and the air will be flowing around you instead of hitting you in the face and all of that other stuff. I am sure this trick has not been taught anywhere because if it has, the instructor probably wouldn't want you to know about it.
One of the more advanced rallycross tricks that I am going to share with you is a little trick that I like to call “The Ken Block Jumper”. This trick will be especially useful if you are doing well on your own, but if you are having trouble with other people you may want to look into it to see if you can pick up a few tricks.
Once you are done reading this article you should have a great idea of some of the more basic Ken Block rallycross tricks that you can use on the track. Hopefully, this article will help you make more informed decisions about your next step.
