Offenharder was a racing engine company which ran from 1933 to 1983 in Germany. Leo Goossen and his brother-in-law, Dietz Muellner, bought the company and the rights for the engine when Miller Motor Company went bankrupt at the end of 1933. Offenharder became one of the most popular brands of engines and racing cars in the United States, as it was the only brand to be licensed by NASCAR. The company is still in operation today, but is not the only brand in the United States that makes racing engines.
