In a recent article I wrote, “Car Track Near Me,” I mentioned the possibility of owning a place to race my car. But the question was whether the track would be within driving distance or not.
When I got up the next morning and started walking around I didn't see much reason to buy a new place. However, once I got home and logged into Google maps I discovered an entire world out there waiting for me. I could have bought a new place, but the problem with doing that is you are stuck in one spot forever and it's always on the same schedule.
There are two options that are available to me right now when it comes to a car track near me. I can buy a piece of property that is zoned for racing and then set up a track in that space. Or I can buy a piece of land on the side of the road somewhere and set up an elaborate track.
It's hard to believe that it all takes so little to do either one, but I have to admit that I did spend a lot of money on these things until I figured out how they worked. I spent about two thousand dollars in total on this. The amount you can actually make is very much dependent upon how many people will be at the track and what kind of track you decide to run. Some tracks will only allow you to run one type of track whereas other tracks will let you run a full five track races.
I ran my first track and it was awesome. But I'll be honest with you, I wasn't expecting to be running a five track race when I purchased the piece of property that I used for my track.
So what do you think about a track in your backyard? Are you going to give it a go? Let me know how it goes and if it doesn't work, you can always keep searching.
One thing I want to point out before you try any track is that most of them charge you for every race. It is highly recommended that you pay the full fee upfront because you will end up paying twice for the land and the track itself when you run your first race.
Another thing to keep in mind about these tracks is that the ones that have all the equipment you'll need for your track can be more expensive than the ones that don't have them. You should look at this before you run your track.
The best part about getting a track in your own backyard is you can run as many track races as you want. and still be able to park in the same space every time. It's a great way to save money and have a nice car parking area, if you want.
